Frequently Asked Questions

Still not sure? Ask our AI assistant in the corner or call the shop.

Appointments & Visits

Do I need an appointment?

Calling ahead at 732-655-4022 is the best way to make sure we can get to your vehicle when you arrive. Availability varies day to day, so please call before you come in.

Do you accept walk-ins?

It depends on how the shop is booked that day. Call first and we will let you know whether we can fit you in.

How long will my repair take?

Many routine services are completed the same day. Larger repairs depend on diagnosis and parts availability. We will give you a realistic estimate once we know what the vehicle needs.

Can I request service after hours?

Yes. Our request forms and AI assistant work 24/7. Leave your information any time and we will follow up during business hours.

What are your hours?

Tuesday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. We are closed Sunday and Monday.

Tires & Used Tires

How do I find my tire size?

Look at the sidewall of your tire for something like 225/65R17, or check the sticker inside the driver's door jamb. If you cannot find it, give us your year, make and model and we will look it up.

Do you have used tires in my size?

Used tire inventory changes frequently. Text or call your size and the quantity you need to 732-655-4022 and we will check what is currently available.

Are used tires safe?

A quality used tire with good remaining tread and no damage can be a safe, affordable option. We inspect every used tire and will not install one we would not put on our own vehicle.

Can my flat tire be repaired?

Punctures in the tread area can often be repaired safely. Sidewall damage, large holes, and tires that were driven flat generally cannot be. We inspect the tire inside and out before deciding.

Do you install tires I bought somewhere else?

Call us with your size and wheel details at 732-655-4022 and we will let you know.

Do I need an alignment with new tires?

It is strongly recommended. Installing new tires on a vehicle that is out of alignment can wear the tread unevenly within a few thousand miles.

Towing

Is towing to your shop free?

Local towing into Ronny's Unique Auto may be complimentary on select qualifying repairs when approved in advance. It is not automatic. Call 732-655-4022 before arranging a tow so we can tell you whether your situation qualifies.

My car won't start — what should I do?

Call us at 732-655-4022. We will ask where the vehicle is, what happened, and whether it rolls and steers, then advise on the best next step.

Can you tow at night or on a Sunday?

Towing availability varies. Please call and we will tell you what we can arrange.

Loaner Vehicles & Rentals

Do you provide loaner cars?

Loaner vehicles may be available while qualifying repairs are completed, subject to availability, eligibility and approval. Ask about a loaner when you schedule your repair.

Do you rent vehicles?

We offer vehicle rental options. Availability and requirements vary, so call 732-655-4022 or submit a rental request and we will confirm what is available for your dates.

Do you rent U-Haul trucks and trailers?

Ask us about U-Haul equipment availability at our location. Reservations for U-Haul equipment are handled through U-Haul's official reservation system.

CARCO Inspections

What is a CARCO inspection?

It is a pre-insurance photo inspection that documents your vehicle's identity, VIN, mileage, condition and installed equipment with a required set of photographs, so your insurance carrier has a record of the vehicle.

Is this the same as a New Jersey state inspection?

No. A CARCO inspection is an insurance photo inspection. It is not a New Jersey MVC safety or emissions inspection.

How long does a CARCO inspection take?

According to official policyholder resources, the inspection generally takes about 15 minutes.

Does it cost anything?

Official CARCO/Cisive policyholder resources state there is no charge to the policyholder for the inspection.

What should I bring?

Bring the vehicle, your insurance or broker paperwork, and any inspection instructions your insurance company provided.

Payment & Estimates

Do you provide estimates before starting work?

Yes. We explain what we found and what the repair involves before proceeding.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Please call 732-655-4022 to confirm current accepted payment methods.

Can you work with my budget?

Often, yes. We frequently have more than one way to solve a problem — for example new versus used tires — and we will lay out the options.
